A Minute With Grammy Award Winning Violinist Gidon Kremer

It was our great pleasure and honour to host world-renowned musician, Grammy Award Winner, Gidon Kremer. Before his concert with Giya Kancheli Tbilisi Youth Orchestra, Latvian violin virtuoso sat down with us to share his experience and impressions of his recent trip to Georgia and about Artizan Design Hotel.

"Gia Kancheli was, and still is, someone very special in my life — one of my closest friends and the composer I worked with the most. I miss him deeply.

I love coming to Tbilisi; I love Georgia. I have many Georgian friends, and it’s wonderful to play with a youth orchestra, because young people always have so much energy and are so open-minded. All the vibes are very positive, so I hope the concert will go well. 

It’s great that the Artizan Design Hotel takes such good care of artists. This hotel is wonderful and stands as a living gallery where hospitality meets artistry. But I think I have to come back here without a concert — without the stress — so I can enjoy it even more."
